Does anyone know of cheap fake chicken nuggets? There's a brand my local health food stores, but they're almost $7 a box! I can't spend that much on what basically ends up being one meal, maybe two. Any ideas? Extra points if you know how to actually make them.

Morningstar Farms has fake chicken nuggets, as well as buffalo wings. They're veggie, but I'm not sure about vegan. But they're delicious! I'm especially a fan of dipping the buffalo wings in goddess dressing.

if you live near a trader joe's they have a soy nugget (not to be confused with their non-vegan, just vegetarian chicken nugget) that while not the most chickeny nugget i have ever tastedm was pretty good. i think they were around three or four bucks for the box.

also, some cubed tofu with breading and "poultry seasoning" won't have the texture, but can taste mighty chicken-like.

i get my chicken nugget hit from a tiny local asian grocery (near a tiny local asian vegan restuarant!! mmm, yuummmm... *drools on keyboard*) that sells frozen vegan chicken nuggety-bit-ma-bobs. i oven bake them for around 20-25 minutes, they're delish!! i had to adlib how to cook them because the english directions on the packet made no sense, and it turns out baking them is probably the tastiest thing ever. this probably doesnt help with your specific situation, i'm sorry, as i do live in australia... but still, maybe the moral of the story is to just persevere until you find somewhere that sells something!
